The A.P. - Egg in a Hole
Here’s a fun and flavorful twist on the classic Egg in a Hole, using Ranch & Rifle's The A.P. Seasoning to bring out the best in every bite!
Ingredients:
1 slice of thick bread (sourdough, brioche, or your favorite kind)
1 large egg
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp Ranch & Rifle’s The A.P. Seasoning
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, chives, hot sauce, or avocado slices
Instructions:
Prepare the Bread: Use a round cookie cutter or a small glass to cut a hole in the center of the bread slice. Set the cut-out piece aside.
Heat the Pan: In a medium skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Swirl the pan to coat the bottom with butter.
Toast the Bread: Place the bread slice and the cut-out piece (for extra toast!) in the skillet. Toast for about 1 minute on one side until it’s lightly golden.
Add the Egg: Flip the bread slice, then crack the egg into the hole. Sprinkle The A.P. Seasoning over the egg and bread for a savory, balanced flavor boost. Let cook for 2-3 minutes, until the white is set but the yolk is still runny. If you like your yolk more cooked, cover the pan with a lid to help it set further.
