EQUIPMENT

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 jar dill pickle spears

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp hot sauce

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • 1 tsp each of salt, pepper, and garlic powder

INSTRUCTIONS

Greg and I live in the PNW where fried pickles are not very big but I have always been obsessed with them. When we went to our friend's wedding in Tennessee, they were everywhere and you best believe that we had them everyday we were there. I was truly in heaven! With all that being said, I of course had to see if we could cook some at home on the Traeger! Please enjoy our take on these crunchy, dilly, deliciousness!

  • Preheat your Traeger to 450 degrees.

  • Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and then place a cooling rack on top of it.

  • Take the pickles out of the jar and pat them dry with paper towels.

In a bowl, combine the flour, eggs, hot sauce, paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  • In a separate bowl, combine the parmesan cheese and Panko breadcrumbs.

  • Place the pickles into the egg wash first, allow any excess to drip off, and then place into the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure to coat all sides of the pickle. Then place onto the dry rack.

  • Set the cooking sheet into the Traeger and cook for 10-15 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on outside temperatures.

  • Enjoy with some ranch or buffalo sauce!
