R.B.J. - Burgers
EQUIPMENT
Grill (gas, charcoal, or a grill pan)
Mixing bowl
Spatula
Grill brush
Meat thermometer
INGREDIENTS
1 lb 80/20 ground beef
1 large egg
1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons Ranch & Rifle R.B.J. seasoning (ranch, bacon, and jalapeno blend)
4 burger buns
Optional toppings: cheese slices, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo
INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Making the Burger Mix:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, panko breadcrumbs, and Ranch & Rifle R.B.J. seasoning.
Mix gently with your hands until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Avoid over-mixing to keep the burgers tender.
Forming the Patties:
Divide the burger mix into 4 equal portions.
Shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up during grilling.
Grilling the Burgers:
Clean and oil the grill grates with a grill brush and some oil to prevent sticking.
Place the patties on the preheated grill.
Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them, to develop a good sear.
Flip the patties and grill for another 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 130-135°F for medium-rare, 150°F for medium, and 160°F for well done.
If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and close the grill lid to melt the cheese.
Toasting the Buns:
While the patties are cooking, place the burger buns cut-side down on the grill for about 1-2 minutes until they are lightly toasted.
Assembling the Burgers:
Remove the patties and buns from the grill.
Place each patty on the bottom half of a bun.
Add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, peppers, and sauces.
Serving:
Serve the burgers immediately with your choice of sides like fries, salad, or coleslaw.
Tips:
Mixing: Be gentle when mixing the meat to avoid compacting it, which can result in tough burgers.
Temperature Control: Keep a close eye on the grill temperature to avoid overcooking or burning the burgers.
Resting: Let the burgers rest for a minute or two after grilling to allow the juices to redistribute.
Enjoy your flavorful homemade grilled burgers with the kick of Ranch & Rifle R.B.J. seasoning!
