R.B.J’s Grilled Corn
EQUIPMENT
Big Green Egg (or similar ceramic grill)
Charcoal
Grill grate
Basting brush
Tongs
Aluminum foil (optional)
INGREDIENTS
6 ears of fresh corn, husked and cleaned
3 tablespoons butter, melted
3 tablespoons Ranch & Rifle's R.B.J. seasoning (ranch, bacon, and jalapeno blend)
1 lime, cut into wedges (optional, for serving)
Fresh chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation:
Set up your Big Green Egg for direct grilling and preheat it to medium-high heat, around.
Preparing the Corn:
Remove the husks and silks from the ears of corn. Rinse the corn under cold water to remove any remaining silk strands.
Pat the corn dry with paper towels.
Seasoning:
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with Ranch & Rifle's R.B.J. seasoning.
Brush the seasoned butter mixture generously over each ear of corn, ensuring all sides are well-coated.
Grilling the Corn:
Place the corn directly on the preheated grill grate.
Grill the corn for about 10-15 minutes, turning every 2-3 minutes to ensure even cooking and charring. Use tongs to handle the corn safely.
Continue to brush the corn with the remaining seasoned butter mixture as it cooks.
Finishing Touches:
Once the corn is nicely charred and cooked through, remove it from the grill.
Optionally, squeeze fresh lime juice over the grilled corn for a zesty kick.
Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
Serving:
Serve the grilled corn immediately.
Pair with your favorite grilled meats or enjoy it on its own.
Tips:
Charcoal Choice: Use hardwood lump charcoal for the best flavor.
Foil Method: If you prefer less char and more steam, you can wrap each ear of corn in aluminum foil after applying the seasoned butter. Grill for the same amount of time, turning occasionally.
Checking Doneness: The corn is done when it's tender and has a nice char. The kernels should be juicy and plump.
Enjoy your perfectly grilled fresh corn on the Big Green Egg, enhanced with the bold flavors of Ranch & Rifle's R.B.J. seasoning!
