Pistachio Crusted Goat Cheese

Love Pistachios? Love Cheese? Love Goats?

EQUIPMENT

  • A VERY Sharp Knife

  • Cutting Board

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 oz of Goat Cheese

  • 1/2 tsp of dried basil

  • 1/2 tsp chopper chives

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 cup of pistachios

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Pour the pistachios into a ziploc bag and smack with a meat tenderizer until nuts have broken into small pieces. Pour pieces into a bowl and set aside.

  • Cut goat cheese (which typically comes in a log) into 1/2 inch slices and roll into a small ball.

  • Combine herbs in a bowl and mix well.

  • Gently roll the cheese balls into the herb mixture, and then into pistachio pieces (you may need to push gently on the cheese balls to get the pistachios to stick). Repeat with the remaining cheese balls.

  • Place the coated goat cheese balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and into the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
